The Mono Ellipse teapot was a technical world novelty.
The designer Tassilo von Grolman worked for a long time together with Mono and the technicians from the glass manufacturer Schott AG in Mainz until it became possible: a heat-resistant borosilicate glass with an asymmetrical shape, round at the top and elliptical at the bottom. The result is a clear silhouette made of glass and stainless steel of timeless beauty. The large sieve gives the tea space to develop its aroma to the maximum. The silicone-printed base allows it to be placed down gently, protects and insulates. The matching glass warmer makes the pot seem to float and keeps the tea warm for a long time.
